NBA superstar Giannis Antetokoumpo hilariously won 10 Euros by betting against his Greek teammate over a shot he could make

After the national team practice at OAKA, Nick Calathes placed a 10 Euro bet, Giannis Antetokounmpo hit the shot, and he instantly claimed his winnings.

The national team has a positive atmosphere by default. However, there will also be times of relaxation along the way to EuroBasket 2022, like the one from practice when Giannis Antetokounmpo made a wager with Nick Calathes, scored a three-pointer while barefoot, and then asked him for the 10 Euros he owed him.

Since they get along well, talk well, and know how to push each other, Antetokounmpo and Calathes will do this going forward in every practice, shootaround, warmup, and game.

Here is a clip of this hilarious moment during the practice session:

For the first time ever, Giannis, Thanasis, Kostas, and Alex are all attending the national team training camp. This is an incredibly memorable event for them all. Giannis, who missed the 2017 event because of a knee ailment in the months before the competition, said that this was a family’s dream come true.

On September 1st, the Eurobasket, which is being hosted by Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Georgia, begins. Greece was placed in Group C with Estonia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Croatia.

Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo enrolled in the Greek national team’s training camp

On August 4, Giannis, Thanasis, and Tyler Dorsey, who just signed a two-way contract with Dallas, were able to participate in the national team training camp. In the Greek national team coaching staff, which also includes Milwaukee assistant coach Josh Oppenheimer, the Bucks have their guy.

It’s yet another indication of how much the Greek national team wants to develop around Giannis under the guidance of new coach Dimitris Itoudis in a plan that includes the forthcoming Eurobasket in 2022 as well as the FIBA World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Following is the tweet regarding how much effort Giannis has been putting with the Greek team during the training session:

According to the FIBA-NBA agreement, NBA players can participate in their national team’s training for up to 28 days before major FIBA tournaments and 14 days before the Olympics, unless they have a special arrangement with their franchise.
