Conor McGregor is one of the greatest fighters ever but some of his quotes also carry quite a punch

Conor McGregor is a name that almost every fight fan would know. The Irishman has come up from rags to riches and is now one of the greatest fighters ever.

He was the first to hold two UFC titles at the same time and has featured in five of the top six selling UFC PPVs ever.

McGregor also made millions by fighting boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. He might have lost that fight but his legacy still lives on.

The Fighting Irishman might be dominant in the Octagon but he sure knows how to play mind games. He has outfoxed opponents before facing them and has called them out with some incredible trash talking.

Some of his comments will go down as some of the funniest or greatest moments in MMA history. Others will remain as sage advice for stars looking to make it big in the MMA world or in life.

McGregor is a great one and here are some of his comments that prove his greatness:

Top Conor McGregor quotes

1) “There’s no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist, we are all equals as human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that’s that. I am not talented, I am obsessed.”

2) “I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing. Keep proving people wrong and proving myself right.”

Dreaming and always learning

Not coming as a surprise. The first love for McGregor wasn’t fighting but football. He shared how much he trained for it but fighting took over later.

5) “I was always a dreamer, and my first ambition was to be a footballer. I’d be out in the field doing drills after it got dark at night. So I had that passion to get somewhere and a drive to do something. I did love football and was always more into playing it than watching it. When I found combat sport, however, it just took over. It’s non-stop now.”
