West Ham enter race to sign Said Benrahma – Do they need him?

The Mirror suggests that West Ham are looking to peruse the signing of Said Benrahma and are willing to make a few sales in order to raise money. Moyes has helped West Ham avoid relegation for a second time, and might look to improve his squad.

Benrahma has been in great form this season, having scored 17 goals and 9 assists this season. Over the last two seasons since arriving from France, Benrahma has hit the ground running in the Championship.

West Ham should consider signing him during the upcoming window as the player has been in good touch and will be the right man to take the team above. The team has managed to save themselves and will be looking to rebuild.

Benrahma has the qualities to cut it in the Premier League, having already proven himself as one of the most exciting players in the Championship.

Considering the side’s performance in the league this season, the team will need to boost their attack as well as other areas. For them to bridge the gap and stay well above relegation and challenge for a top-half finish, they need another good attacker.

Hence, bringing in a new winger in the summer would be a wise decision by West Ham. With that being said, Benrahma would be a viable option for the Londoners to consider. The 24-year-old has shone bright in his two years at the Championship and is in form. If Benrahma happens to continue the same, he would add great depth and quality.

Final words

Benrahma has been a huge hit since his arrival to England and has been consistently performing for the Bees and has great numbers over the last two seasons.

The Algerian would bring a lot of quality whilst adding depth, and is at the right age to take up a bigger challenge. The Hammers should definitely make an all-out attempt to secure the signing of Benrahma.
