Two players Cardiff City must sign before deadline day
Cardiff City enjoyed a brilliant season in the Championship, finishing as runners-up behind winners Wolverhampton Wanderers. In doing so, they successfully managed to get promoted to the Premier League and will ply their trade in the top-flight next season.
However, their challenges will get tougher from here on and to ensure they stand tall against the big boys of England, Cardiff must strengthen their forces to a considerable extent. Manager Neil Warnock has done an excellent job with the Bluebirds but he faces a huge test ahead of him as the season is all set to commence from this weekend.
Until now, Cardiff have managed to complete deals for Bobby Reid, Alex Smithies, Josh Murphy and Greg Cunningham. While these players have already strengthened the team in some key areas, here are two more players Warnock must sign before the transfer window slams shut.
Fernando Forestieri
With Sheffield Wednesday facing a transfer embargo, Cardiff must take advantage of the situation and make a move for Forestieri. The Bluebirds have already been linked with a move for the 28-year-old striker, who can be lethal on any given day.
Although a knee injury had sidelined him for a good majority of the previous campaign, Forestieri ended the season on a high by chipping in with 5 goals in the last 10 games. A player of his calibre and experience could work wonders for Cardiff, particularly as they get set to deal with the challenges of the Premier League. A report from The Times adds that Wednesday might demand a fee in the region of £10million, which is quite economical.
Victor Camarasa
The Real Betis midfielder has been linked with a move to join Cardiff but nothing has materialized so far. Warnock’s men are in dire need of boosting their forces in the middle of the park and to that end, a move for Camarasa seems like a step in the right direction.
A central midfielder by trade, Camarasa excels in the box-to-box role. He has a great eye for picking out passes and his passing accuracy is quite admirable as well. His ball retention skills, in particular, are exemplary and that could be vital for Cardiff next season.

Wales Online has claimed that Cardiff are looking to sign the 24-year-old on loan, which would be a smart move and they must wrap up a deal before the window closes.
