Two Players Maurizio Sarri must offload after taking charge at Chelsea
Maurizio Sarri is set to take charge at Chelsea after the London club sacked Antonio Conte. The de facto is that Sarri will bring a different style of play to Stamford Bridge, which will refresh the moods of the Blues supporters. The Italian is set to bring Jorginho, one of his key players from Napoli, to bolster his midfield options.
The 59-year-old has a very rigid playing system, where he expects players to exhibit beautiful passing football and press higher up the pitch when not in possession. It can be a tiring experience for some of the Chelsea players, as they have previously worked with managers who prefer a completely different style of play.
So, let us take a look at the two players who Sarri should offload upon taking charge at Stamford Bridge:
Alvaro Morata
Morata had a very mediocre first season with the Blues, as he failed to adapt to the physicality and intensity of the Premier League.
The fact that he missed 17 clear cut goal-scoring opportunities buckled his confidence and simultaneously frustrated the Chelsea supporters. The £155,000-a-week Spaniard has shown signs of tiring down and exhibiting softness when challenged during games.
As depicted above, Morata will struggle to fulfil the demands put forward by Sarri, which will make him surplus to the requirement at Stamford Bridge.
Hence, it will be sensible for the manager to offload him and buy a potent striker who has an appreciable work-rate as well. Morata should move to a different club in order to regain his confidence and get back to being recognised as a top striker.
Cesc Fabregas
Fabregas was an instant hit at the club upon his arrival in 2014, however, he has struggled to show similar impact since the start of last season. The 31-year-old tends to get laboured in games where he has to cover the ground, press hard and then track back to cover the defence.

In contradiction, the first and primary thing Sarri needs from his players is work-rate of the highest order and consistent stamina to do that for a longer period of time. At 31, the Spaniard might struggle to do that and so it will be realistic for the manager to sell him this summer.
