2021 F1 Russian GP weather report: can rain cause trouble this weekend?
Formula One action will return this weekend. The 2021 F1 Russian GP promises to be an exciting and important encounter for the Driver’s World Championship.
As the 2021 season comes to it’s business end no race can be taken lightly and weather can play a huge role in deciding the outcome of the race. Heavy rains can even cancel the race as we recently saw at Spa.
The last F1 race the Italian GP was won by Daniel Ricciardo can he spoil the party yet again at Sochi?
2021 F1 Russian GP Weather report
This weekend can prove to be a bit tricky in terms of rain as there are chances of rain on Friday and Saturday but not on Sunday.
Day | Highest | Lowest |
Friday | Cloudy, A bit of rain, 19°C | 13°C |
Saturday | Cloudy, Showers, 20°C | 14°C |
Sunday | Some Sunshine, 21°C | 14°C |
It can be seen that according to the weather reports there will be some rain on Friday and on Saturday heavy showers can be expected. Whereas some sunshine is expected on the race day. The actual weather can only be known come race weekend, however fans will expect to see some racing action. They’d hope that the conditions at Spa don’t repeat themselves.
The weather report comes as in as a relief to many fans as there are seemingly no chances of rain yet on the race day.
Will Daniel Ricciardo spoil the party yet again?
Last weekend at the Italian GP the race was one by Daniel Ricciardo. The former RedBull driver started the race at pole and ended up wining the race as well. Many looked past his victory naming it as a result of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen crashing.
Ricciardo certainly earned his first victory since 2018. He will look to carry his phenomenal form to this weekend’s Russian GP at Sochi. And probably cause an upset again.
On the other hand Hamilton and Verstappen will look to comeback stronger after last weekend’s disappointment. The two title challengers crashed against each other because of which they were not able to complete the race.
Both the drivers will look to get some valuable points under their belt as they usually do. Verstappen currently leads Hamilton by five points and looks determined to win his first F1 World Championship.
On the other hand Hamilton wants to beat Michael Schumacher’s record of seven world title by winning his 8th. Whatever the case, The Russian GP will be a spectacle to watch.
