Lando Norris has been one of the bright sparks in this season of Formula 1. The young Brit has secured a points finish in every race and finished in the podium at Monaco. In his second year, he has shown that he has been the better driver at McLaren, despite the move of veteran Daniel Ricciardo.
Norris is yet to win a race, but has shown the massive potential that could make him a future World Champion. Talking on the McLaren official site before the weekend, he says: (h/t McLaren)
“I’m looking forward to heading back to Hungary, a track that has good memories for me after my official F1 test debut there in 2017. We’ve had a good start to the season so far, and we’ll be aiming to finish the first half of the year on a high, before a break over the summer shutdown.
Norris rose to 3rd after finishing 4th at Silverstone to take him to 103 points. He holds a 5 point lead over Mercedes’ driver Valtteri Bottas.
