Manchester United should beat Chelsea to sign Suso from Milan
According to the Express, Chelsea have taken the first step towards signing AC Milan forward Suso in January as Maurizio Sarri looks to bolster his squad. The 24-year-old Spaniard has been in excellent form this season, catching the eye of the Premier League giants with a series of consistent displays.
The 24-year-old Spaniard started his professional career with Liverpool but did not manage to secure a regular starting role for the Reds. Consequently, he spent time on loan at La Liga club Almeria and before joining Milan in 2014. He hasn’t looked back since then, showing a lot of tactical improvement and taking his game to a new level.
He made a total of 35 appearances in the Serie A last term, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists. However, he has already touched those numbers this season, registering 3 goals and 7 assists from 9 appearances. Quite clearly, he has been in scintillating form in the ongoing campaign.
Going by his form so far, he would be a perfect signing for both the teams in question. While Chelsea have made a wonderful start to their Premier League campaign and are still unbeaten across all competitions, Manchester United have struggled to hit the ground running. The Red Devils currently sit 8th in the Premier League standings and are in dire need of new signings in January.
Eden Hazard has shouldered the bulk of the attacking workload for the Blues, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists so far. However, United haven’t had anybody who has put his hand up to take charge of the situation.
As things stand, United desperately need a specialist right-winger to add that much-needed impetus to their attack. Both Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata have been used as makeshift right-wingers but they are not the sort of players who have the ability to make an impact from the wide areas. Anthony Martial has shown some good form in the recent games, excelling in his role as a left-winger and United will be a more potent attacking force with a top-quality right-winger in their ranks.
To put things into perspective, United should look to beat their rivals Chelsea to sign the 24-year-old Spaniard Suso. Primarily a right-winger by trade, Suso is a quick, agile and technically-gifted left-footed player who is capable of sparking that creativity from the wide areas. He combines his technical abilities with his superior body balance to keep excellent close in tight areas and has the ability to create that extra yard of space for himself with sharp turns.
To add to that, he is also blessed with remarkable vision and tends to spot the runs of his teammates with his flawless passing. The best thing about him is he is a very dynamic player who can take on defenders, cut inside with pace and pick out the right pass in the final third. In other words, he is a playmaker from the wide areas.

Hence, United should not hesitate to splash the cash to sign the 24-year-old right winger from Milan. He is definitely not going to come cheap but going by the quality that he has shown in the Serie A, he is likely to be worth every penny.
