According to a report from German news outlet Kicker (h/t Sky Sports), Bayer Leverkusen sensation Leon Bailey has admitted that he has been subjected to interest from a few Premier League clubs this summer.
The Jamaican winger has been a force to reckon with in the Bundesliga in recent times. Despite being just 20 years of age, Bailey’s explosive attacking runs and goalscoring skills are truly commendable. And now, it looks like he could be on his way to the English top-flight.
Given his age and level of experience, Bailey would prove to be a great choice for numerous European giants. But if somehow manages to secure a move to the Premier League before the transfer window slams shut, where should he go?
One might wonder as to why Liverpool are even included on this list. After all, they have Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, both of whom were arguably one of the best attackers across Europe last season. However, the Champions League final against Real Madrid was enough evidence of the fact that Liverpool severely lack depth in the wide attacking department.
When Philippe Coutinho was still a part of the club, he often took charge of the left-wing whenever Mane was out injured. However, if any injury was to befall either the Senegalese sensation or the Egyptian wonder, the Reds would once again find themselves in a tough situation. Hence, signing Bailey would certainly strengthen their forces and the winger’s devastating pace and creativity will come in handy.
The Gunners look like a completely different squad with new manager Unai Emery at the helm. They have already completed a significant number of signings but signing Bailey would certainly prove to be the cherry on top.
Like Liverpool, Arsenal also have formidable attackers like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Danny Welbeck. But should either of them succumb to an injury or face a slump in form, Arsenal could definitely utilize Bailey’s services.
Given his skills and potential, Bailey could go on to become a marquee signing for a new-age Arsenal side.
Tottenham Hotspur are in dire need of bolstering not just their attacking forces but their squad depth in general. And considering Mauricio Pochettino’s flair for developing and working with youngsters, moving to White Hart Lane should seem like the most attractive option for Bailey.

Signing him would also allow Pochettino to utilize Christian Eriksen as an attacking midfielder in certain situations. And Heung-min Son set to join South Korea for the upcoming Asian games, Tottenham could certainly utilize a player of Bailey’s calibre.
