The 30-year-old has performed steadily for Watford, racking up 105 goals in 309 games, many of them coming in the Premier League. Cardiff could do well by signing an experienced forward and Deeney perfectly fits the bill.
2. He comes at a good price
At a time when strikers are available at a premium, the opportunity to sign Deeney for a fee of £15million is quite a prudent move for all parties involved. After all, he is a striker who will score goals and give his best every week.

At the age of 30, Deeney still has a good few years left in him. Neil Warnock’s men play in a system that favours their striker and the Watford man could profit immensely from it.
