Ford GT40 Mk IV J-5

The Ford GT40 J-5 scripted history by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967. It was driven by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt. The vehicle features a 427 cubic inch V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. It has a fantastic acceleration with a top speed of 215mph and the endurance was great. Ford GT40 Mk I P/1007

Designed as a race car, the GT40 Mk I P/1007 was redesigned by Carroll Shelby in the 60s. The vehicle was built using a Small-block V8 engine. It offered a top speed of 200 mph. The car was made using Steel monocoque chassis and Fiberglass body which also enhanced the durability. It featured aerodynamics and independent suspension as well.

It produced 475 lb-ft of torque and 485 horsepower which resulted in a top speed of 210 mph. The other features like heavy-duty gearbox, NASCAR engines, and steel monocoque chassis were considered advanced features. The vehicle was known for its engineering, designs, and performance on the tracks. In 2018, this Ford GT40 vehicle was almost sold for $10 million which shook the racing community.

Ford GT40 Mk I P/1075

GT40 P/1075 was a kingmaker during its time. It secured back to back championships in the Le Mans in 1968 and 1969. It was made with 4.9L (302 cu in) V8 with Gurney-Weslake heads and 5-speed manual transmissions. The car produced 425 hp and it had 200mph as its top speed. The P/1075 has always been deemed as the most successful GT40 vehicle from Ford. People can buy it from collector markets or auctions for a price that will be more than $12 million. The legacy of this vehicle remains the same even after decades.
