5 Legends who might return to WWE in 2022

Some Hall of Famers make their appearance to wrestle in a particular WWE’s biggest pay-per-views, or some make non-wrestling appearances on WWE television.

These are some of the legends who might make their way to the company in 2022:

  1. Hulk Hogan

Hulkamania is one of the greatest superstars to ever step in the squared circle in WWE history. With a career of almost four decades and has won all the major championship titles, there is no doubt that he is a legend of the game.

Hulk Hogan is the first wrestler to win consecutive Royal Rumble events and won the WWE Championship six times. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005 and second time in 2020 as a member of NWO.

Since 2018, Hulkamania has made at least one WWE appearance each year, and his last appearance came at WrestleMania 37. Even though Dave Meltzer said that he is not fit for an in-ring return. Fans will hope that Hogan makes his return for one last match in 2022.

2. Paige

We all know superstar Paige who played a pivotal role in the Women’s Revolution. But, unfortunately, she had to retire very early due to a neck injury. But since Edge ended his injury and returned to wrestling, She has shown her wish to return to the company again, and 2022 might be the year for that.

Even though her WWE contract will expire in a few months, the former Divas Champion might make her in-ring return at the Royal Rumble on January 29, 2022.

3. The Rock

The Rock is regarded as one of the greatest performers of all time in WWE history. However, he has not appeared on WWE television for a few years now. He last appeared on SmackDown on October 29, taking part in a segment with Becky Lynch and Baron Corbin.

Several speculations indicate that The Rock wants to face his cousin Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood.

The Brahma Bull might return to the company in 2022 to confront Reigns, maybe after WrestleMania 38 to break his reign as of Universal Champion.

4. Trish Stratus

The Diva of the Decade has been one of the greatest WWE Superstar in the history of Women’s wrestling. Stratus won a record seven Women’s Championships during her run with the company. In addition, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Trish last appeared to the ring at the 2019 SummerSlam PPV when Charlotte Flair defeated her. After that, she said it was her last match, but you never know she might surprise the face and make a comeback to WWE in 2022.

There are a lot of female superstars who have shown their interest in facing the legend, and their desire might get true as Stratus might come to meet them one last time.

5. Lita

Lita is considered one of the best female performers in the company’s history. She has previously revealed about making a comeback to WWE in the future, and 2022 might be the time for that.

She appeared in the After the Bell podcast and mentioned her possibility of returning to the WWE ring.

“I’m down. I can’t say that if I was never in the ring again that something is missing from me, but I think that it would be a fun opportunity and a good short-term goal, and just something to add to the resume.”

Lita made her debut in the company in 2000 and is a four-time WWE Women’s Champion. She pushed the barriers of women wrestling with her moves and some iconic matches. Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014. She took retirement in 2006.
