Edge and Damien Priest have already formed a formidable team. There are speculations that more members would be added in the coming weeks. In this article, we take a look at 5 possible superstars that can join the heel stable.
Edge and AJ Styles had a classic match at WrestleMania 38. Towards the end of the match, Damien Priest appeared at ringside to distract Styles as the Rated-R Superstar took advantage and got the W.
Priest pledged his allegiance to Edge on the RAW after WrestleMania. However, as per reports, he will be joined by one or more superstars in the near future.
The Nightmare Rhea Ripley is currently a face on RAW as she teams up with Liv Morgan. However, last week on RAW she left Liv alone in the ring after the latter was pinned in their match against Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi.
Later in the night though, Ripley and Morgan hugged each other as they were given a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championship and the match will take place this week on RAW. Banks and Naomi are expected to retain and Liv might once again be pinned and that could lead to Ripley turning on her partner and abandoning the team. This would also mean that Ripley would have a heel turn.
In this scenario, she won’t be having any problems joining Edge’s faction. It’s been a while since we have seen a heel faction having both male and female superstars. It would certainly be quite interesting to see how things pan out if Ripley joins the group.
The promising Austin Theory has been referred to as the protege of Vince McMahon and the Chairman and CEO of the companyares one of the best heels in the business. Theory is meant for big things and he is just 24.
He is currently a heel and took a Stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38. Above all, it’s a certainty that Theory would learn a lot alongside the Hall of Famer Edge.
This could do a lot of good to Theory’s WWE career. Currently, Theory is in a feud with Finn Balor over the latter’s United States Championship. After this feud is over, there is a high chance that Theory can be included in the stable.
When Apollo Crews turned heel last year and joined forces with the gigantic Commander Azeez, he was a dominant performer on the mid-card. The run even saw him win the Intercontinental Title from Big E at WrestleMania 38 in a Nigerian Drum Fight.
Crews held the Title for 124 days before dropping it to Shinsuke Nakamura. Then, he and Commander Azeez were drafted to RAW as part of the 2021 Draft. Ever since their move to the red brand, success has eluded them.
They recently teamed up to take on Omos in a handicap match but were blown away by the Colossus. If they join Edge’s stable, they could once again be in for a noteworthy run. They are heels as well and won’t have any problems getting into the group. Azeez can be the powerhouse of the stable and Crews’ wrestling acumen is well-known.
Alexa Bliss hasn’t been seen in WWE after participating in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match earlier this year. If she continues with her same possessed gimmick then there’s no doubt that adding her to Edge’s stable would be a great idea.
However, if she returns her old gimmick – “The Goddess” then it would depend on whether she portrays a heel or a face. Most likely, Bliss will return as a heel and that would mean that she would easily be able to join the faction.
Bliss is one of the most popular female wrestlers on the roster and fans have been desperately waiting for WWE to give her more screen-time. When she does make her comeback, WWE might want to push her as a babyface as she already has a great connection with the fans. However, her highly-praised acting chops could be better utilized if she joins Edge and co.
It would be interesting to see if anyone joins Edge’s faction as early as on this week’s episode of RAW.
