Rarest BMW Cars

BMW M3 CRT

Launched in 2011, the M3 CRT was a limited-run edition. A total of 67 units were sold. The roof and seats were made of carbon fiber. BMW M3 CRT was built using V8 engines which delivered 450 hp. The top speed for this model was 180mph. The gearbox was equipped with a 7‑speed M DCT double‑clutch with Drivelogic and Launch Control. The designs included Melbourne Red accents. It is now available from collector markets between $300,000 to $600,000.

BMW M3 GTR 

The BMW M3 CRT sold 67 units, but the M3 GTR was launched only with 10 units making it one of the rarest BMW models. The V8 engine and 6-speed manual gearbox contributed to the performance. It clocked a top speed of 183 miles per hour. The BMW M3 GTR was mainly launched for GT racing. It was used in Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. Although the vehicle was rare, it created an impact. BMW M3 GTR appeared in video games like NFS and Forza.

BMW 507

The BMW 507 was another limited edition vehicle from BMW. It was in production between 1956 to 1959 and only 252 units were made. BMW 507 was a luxury sports vehicle bought by the richest people. Legendary singer Elvis Presley also owned this model. The price of the BMW 507 made it hard for the company to continue production. Reports reveal it was purchased for $2 Million USD from auction. BMW 507 had simple designs like leather seats, aluminium body panels, and wood-rim steering wheels. It offered a top speed of 127mph powered by a 90° V8 naturally aspirated engine.

BMW i3 Shadow Sport

The electric vehicle was launched in 2015 at the 2015 LA Auto Show. All 50 units of the BMW i3 Shadow Sport were sold at the show. The vehicle also had a moonroof, turbine wheels, and shadow Sport plaque. BMW i3 Shadow Sport design included fluid black. It also had electric blue accents. The vehicle had a single electric motor and RWD with a top speed of 93 mph. The gearbox included Single-speed fixed gear which was different from regular ones.

BMW 435i ZHP Coupe Edition 

The BMW 435i ZHP was a performance-oriented vehicle launched in 2016. Not more than 100 units were made. This was built using a twinpower turbo inline-6 gasoline engine which delivered a top speed of 155mph powered by the 8-speed auto gearbox. It features M Performance aerodynamics, steering wheels, and black kidney grilles. The performance was enhanced by Vehicle Stability Control (DSC). This could have been one of the fastest BMW cars in history if the manufacturers launched it as a standard edition.
