There are a few exceptions like John Cena, Damien Sandow, Baron Corbin, and Braun Strowman to name a few, who failed to cash in the Money in the Bank contract.

5. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is currently involved in a feud with Cody Rhodes. The Visionary is a former four-time world champion and is one of the top superstars in WWE

Considering Roman Reigns will be the WWE Universal Champion till then, the history he has with his former Shield buddy will make the match an intriguing affair.

4. Drew McIntyre

There are already plans put in place by WWE to have the Scottish Warrior feud with Roman Reigns over the next few months. Drew is a two-time WWE Champion. He is the only one on our list from the SmackDown roster who we have picked as a potential winner of the Money in the Bank contract.

Both men recently competed in a match at a WWE live show last weekend which the Tribal Chief won. This rivalry is just getting started and it seems Drew is one of the frontrunners to win the Money in the Bank match and set up a clash against the current champion.

3. Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley returned at WrestleMania 38 to break Omos’ undefeated streak. On the RAW after WrestleMania, MVP turned on Lashley and Omos assaulted the Almighty.

Lashley’s feud with MVP and Omos might end at WrestleMania Backlash and after that, the 45-year-old might be in line to challenge the Head of the Table. If Lashley manages to win the MITB ladder match and challenge Roman, he would have the chance to win his fifth world championship in WWE.

2. Edge

Edge has portrayed a sinister side of himself since his feud with AJ Styles began. The two exceptional athletes will compete against each other at WrestleMania Backlash.

Edge is an 11-time world champion. Damian Priest has aligned himself with the Rated-R Superstar over the last few weeks and the heel duo mean business. Edge has cashed in the Money in the Bank contract successfully, a couple of times in the past. He wouldn’t mind a hattrick.

1. Cody Rhodes

The American Nightmare returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 defeating Seth Rollins. He has made his intentions clear that he wants to become a world champion.

With the WWE Universe behind him, Cody can be considered the favorite to win the Money in the Bank this year. Cody has won the WWE Intercontinental Championship on a couple of occasions and the Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions but the world title has eluded him in WWE so far.

Dark Horse – Gable Steveson

Gable Steveson is yet to make his in-ring debut in WWE. He is only the second Olympic Gold medalist to be signed by WWE after Kurt Angle and it is expected that the 21-year-old will receive a substantial push on RAW.

If Gable wins the Money in the Bank and sets up a clash with Roman Reigns, it could be a great spectacle for the WWE Universe.

Money in the Bank 2022 Location

The 2022 Money in the Bank pay-per-view will be the 13th edition of the event and is scheduled to take place on July 2, 2022. The event takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. This will be the first instance when the event will be held in a National Football League Stadium.

In October 2021, WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan referred to Money in the Bank as one of the company’s “five annual tentpoles“, thus elevating its status as one of WWE’s five biggest events of the year, colloquially referred to as the “Big Five“.
