Braun Strowman didn’t have a wrestling background. In fact, he didn’t even wrestle before coming to WWE. From 2009 to 2012 he took the world by storm as far as strongman competitions were concerned.
He won many competitions and one among them was the Arnold Amateur World Championship. Other championships that he won were the Central GA Strongest Man, Europa Battle of Champions, Monster of the Midland, NAS US Amateur National Championship, Summerfest Strongman, and the West Cary Fall Festival of Power.
3. Braun Strowman played football semi-professionally
Braun spent four years of his life playing football semi-professionally for the Hickory Hornets. During that time, he used to work simultaneously as a doorman and mechanic to supplement his income. Braun also takes a keen interest in a wide range of sports.
The 38-year-old attended the NFL Scouting Combine in 2007, but he didn’t turn professional. This was before he ventured into strongman competitions.
2. Braun Strowman is dating a current NXT Superstar
Braun Strowman is dating Victoria Gonzalez, who is currently wrestling on WWE’s developmental brand NXT. Victoria also appeared on last week’s edition of SmackDown and said how she was better than the other women on the roster. Therefore, there is a possibility that she has made her way to the main roster. Last week, she also changed her ring name from Raquel Gonzalez to Raquel Rodriguez.
The couple was seen recently together at Alexa Bliss’ wedding last week. The former Universal Champion showered his affection towards his ladylove on quite a few occasions in the recent past.
1. Strowman acted in a film before joining WWE
Usually, WWE superstars venture into acting after joining the company. Strowman, however, had acted in a film before signing on the dotted lines for WWE.
The name of the film is Three Count and is 50 minutes long. The video given above is just a teaser where Braun can be seen wearing a sleeveless t-shirt as he fights off a trespasser.
