Following a surprisingly long wait, Malik Willis was eventually traded in the third round of the NFL 2022 Draft. The star quarterback was tipped to be a first-round pick but was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 86 pick.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Willis is entering the NFL following a successful two-year run at Liberty after transferring from Auburn. During that span, Willis threw 47 touchdowns against 18 interceptions, making him one of the most highly-rated QBs in the USA. Willis made history with his recent trade at the NFL Draft 2022. The 22-year-old has become the first-ever Liberty quarterback to make it to the NFL Draft.

Willis shares a family connection in the NFL thanks to his uncle, James Anderson. Anderson was a third-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2006 out of Virginia Tech and spent 10 seasons playing in the NFL as a linebacker. Anderson also spent a season with the Titans, Bears and New Orleans Saints.

Prior to his breakthrough at Liberty, Willis played as a backup for the Auburn Tigers. At Auburn, Willis was on the same squad as fellow Titans draft pick Roger McCreary.

Willis is regarded as one of the brightest quarterbacks in the country. He has impeccable vision and its complimented with sensational hand coordination. In his last two years at Liberty, Willis ran for a staggering 1,822 yards and 27 touchdowns.

At the NFL Combine, Willis grabbed headlines for his stellar displays on and off the field. He impressed everyone in the throwing portion with range on his deep passes. We are expected to see some of them come off at the NFL sooner or later.
