7x All-Star set to train with Mavs as Dallas look to build on Kyrie Irving trade

7-time NBA All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge is set to train with the Dallas Mavericks as they look to build on the trade of Kyrie Irving.

The Dallas Mavericks were one of the stronger teams in the NBA right from the start of the season, owing to the fact that they have one of the best players in the league in Luka Doncic – who helped them reach the Western Conference Finals last season. While Doncic is a monster on the court, it was often said that he lacked a partner in crime for Dallas to unlock the next level.

As it turns out, it feels like the Mavericks have found the perfect partner for Doncic to play alongside in the form of Kyrie Irving. The 8-time All-Star was reportedly unhappy at the Brooklyn Nets and wanted a trade before the end of the deadline – and both him as well as the Dallas faithful seemed to be ecstatic after he switched Brooklyn for Dallas on deadline day.

With the addition of Irving to the roster, the Mavericks suddenly look like a team that can go deep into the Conference Finals as well as the NBA Finals – or maybe even win the title. However, Dallas boss Mark Cuban is not quite done with strengthening the Mavs roster as much as he can, as it has been revealed that a 7-time All-Star is set to train with the Mavericks.
