A recent GameStop social media advertisement for Xbox Series X|S consoles promotes “Microsoft Game Pass” rather than “Xbox Game Pass.”

The Gaming community especially the Xbox players were taken by surprise because of the GameStop Tweet recently. Amid all the drama of speculating Xbox games being made available to PlayStation, GameStop revealed the ‘Microsoft Game Pass’ on their website in an Ad. While it is said it will be no different from the traditional Xbox Game Pass, this will be the first time we will see a game pass being sold outside Microsoft platforms.

Is Microsoft Game Pass the next big thing?

GameStop put up an Ad promoting the Microsoft Game Pass to be added on the Xbox Demo Day on 10th February. However, they took down the banner from their website leaving everyone in confusion. The Advertisement promises benefits similar to the Xbox Game Pass and much will be revealed at the event.

He said the concept of Microsoft Pass’ is the sole Gamestops’ idea. Additionally, he also added, “The brand is still Xbox Game Pass / PC Game Pass with no planned changes right now.”

These included Gears of War, Halo, and Starfield. Some of the more, well, “passionate” Xbox enthusiasts initially dismissed the rumours on the internet.
