“Absolute legend” – Paddy Pimblett acknowledges Liverpool FC centre-back Virgil Van Dijk’s encouraging message for him

Liverpool Football team captain Virgil Van Dijk sent some words of motivation to Paddy Pimblett ahead of UFC London, which he responded to after his fight

Paddy Pimblett showed his true star potential at UFC London, as the entire arena sang chants of him all night long. The Liverpool native brought an unprecedented charm, a different brand of flair, and an entire army of fans that scorched the stadium with their voice.

Loyalty to one’s football team runs deep in the ‘Scousers’ and Pimblett is a leaving breathing example of that passion. Ahead of UFC London, Liverpool captain and one of the greatest defenders of our generation, Virgil Van Dijk sent out some words of encouragement to his hometown lad.

Pimblett who emerged victorious against Rodrigo Vargas via first-round submission, reacted to the skipper’s endorsement and replied to his tweet by saying,

Yes Big Virg my Man U absolute legend 👊🏻

Pimblett will most likely move up the UFC ladder and face some elite competition whenever he returns back inside the octagon.

Following his first-round victory against Vargas, Pimblett spoke to Bisping inside the octagon and called out Zuckerberg in an epic rant. He said, “Mark Zuckerberg – lad, I’m gonna punch your head in. I’m sick of you, lad. I’m sick of you shutting my Instagram accounts down when all I do is help charities & help people with mental health problems. You’re the biggest bully in the world, lad.”
