Liverpool Football team captain Virgil Van Dijk sent some words of motivation to Paddy Pimblett ahead of UFC London, which he responded to after his fight
Paddy Pimblett showed his true star potential at UFC London, as the entire arena sang chants of him all night long. The Liverpool native brought an unprecedented charm, a different brand of flair, and an entire army of fans that scorched the stadium with their voice.
Loyalty to one’s football team runs deep in the ‘Scousers’ and Pimblett is a leaving breathing example of that passion. Ahead of UFC London, Liverpool captain and one of the greatest defenders of our generation, Virgil Van Dijk sent out some words of encouragement to his hometown lad.
Pimblett who emerged victorious against Rodrigo Vargas via first-round submission, reacted to the skipper’s endorsement and replied to his tweet by saying,
‘Yes Big Virg my Man U absolute legend 👊🏻‘
Pimblett will most likely move up the UFC ladder and face some elite competition whenever he returns back inside the octagon.
Paddy has a reputation of being too unvarnished and upfront, especially while speaking his mind on social media. This has put him in a jam several times in the past, and his account has been deleted on various occasions.
Pimblett gets really irked when he comes across cyber-bullying and harsh comments. His account has been blocked several times because he confronted the bullies, and he spoke candidly about this subject.
“I don’t even care that people say stuff about me, say stuff about me all you want, but not about a three-year-old child that’s fighting for his life. I can’t sit there and let someone talk about that.”
Following his first-round victory against Vargas, Pimblett spoke to Bisping inside the octagon and called out Zuckerberg in an epic rant. He said, “Mark Zuckerberg – lad, I’m gonna punch your head in. I’m sick of you, lad. I’m sick of you shutting my Instagram accounts down when all I do is help charities & help people with mental health problems. You’re the biggest bully in the world, lad.”
