Hangman Page is one of the most improved wrestlers in the world and has a legacy of a legend at the mere age of 30. He is a former AEW World Champion and AEW World Tag team Champion.
Stephen Woltz started his wrestling career in 2008 under the ring name Adam Page. His first professional wrestling championship came when he teamed with Jason Blade to win the CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Championship in January 2011. Page won the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship the following year.
Page made his ROH debut on January 14, 2011, at ROH Champions vs All-Stars in a dark match. In 2013 Page participated in the ROH Top Prospect Tournament but was defeated on January 5 by Silas Young.
He stayed for seven years in ROH and joined the villainous stable of Bullet Club, which got a big push in the promotion. After he entered, he changed his gimmick to “Hangman” Adam Page, who was a cowboy-inspired character along with the Bullet Club members; he won the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships.
The page also worked with Japanese Promotion (NJPW) since ROH had an agreement with NJPW. In 2018 Bullet Club members Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks left ROH and started their promotion named All Elite Wrestling. Also, Adam left ROH and signed with AEW. This was the beginning of a new era.
In January 2019, Adam signed with upstart promotion AEW along with other Elites. Page was the surprise final entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing, where he last eliminated MJF to win an AEW World Championship opportunity. However, he got defeated by Chris Jericho in the inaugural AEW World Championship match-up.
Following this, Page teamed with Kenny Omega and defeated SoCal Uncensored on the January 22 episode of Dynamite to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship, making the first-ever title change in AEW history.
On November 13, Full gear Page defeated Omega to win the World Championship in a highly acclaimed match that received 5 n 1/2 ratings from sports journalist Dave Meltzer who described the match as a “classic”. But unfortunately, he lost the championship to CM Punk, ending his reign at 197 days.
