After being ousted in the first round of the men’s doubles event, Djokovic has turned on the heat in the singles event. He finished last season by winning the WTA Finals and has continued his form into the new season.

So far the top seed has won all of his matches in straight sets. He began with a comfortable win against Constant Lestienne. In the round of 16, Djokovic was made to sweat by Quentin Halys. The Serbian star had to fight hard to win both sets in the tiebreaks. The match ended 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-5) in favor of Djokovic. In the quarterfinals, the former world No. 1 managed to defeat 7th seed Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 6-4.

Daniil Medvedev

The Russian star had a very tough start to the campaign but he showed his quality as the event rolled on. Medvedev has also not lost a set as yet.

The former world No. 1 followed it up with another comprehensive performance against Karen Khachanov and won the match 6-3, 6-3 to sail into the semis.
