1. WWE defector to AEW
According to PWInsider, many well-known producers have been let go because of the budget cuts. The following members are a mix of recent hires and long-time backstage team members.
Billy Kidman, Mike Rotunda, Dave Finlay, Pat Buck, Shawn Daivari, Scott Armstrong, Sarah Stock, Shane Helms and Lance Storm
WWE has said that furloughing would be one of the tools they used, and most likely, producers would qualify for that option.
Now it has been said by PW Insider that Pat Buck, who quit his job as a producer for WWE right after WrestleMania 38, is already working as a producer for AEW.
2. Tony Khan’s Huge Announcement
A few days back, it was reported that AEW returns to Pittsburg next Wednesday. There will be a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT from Tony Khan.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Tony Khan’s HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT next week could be related to a broadcast deal for Ring of Honor or a streaming deal for AEW.
As noted earlier, Khan mused about the possibility of running an ROH show as a part of an AEW PPV weekend on Saturday in between Rampage and either Double or Nothing, All Out o Revolution on Sunday.
3. Alexa Bliss in the internal list of top women babyfaces
According to Insider, WWE internally lists the top women’s babyfaces on RAW as Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley, and the top women’s heels on RAW are internally listed as Becky Lynch, Carmella and Zelina Vega.
For the mens, The three listed men’s babyfaces are Cody Rhodes on Monday Night RAW behind Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles. The top heels on the red brand are Seth Rollin, Kevin Owen, Edge & Damian Priest.
4. AOP reveals
The Authors of Pain left WWE in September 2020 because they wanted to prioritize their families over wrestling during COVID-19. They recently got interviews by Renee Paquette at The Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, where they said that before their WWE release, they rejected a creative idea as they were not comfortable going it.
Last month they did an interview with Ango where they revealed more about their release,
“So basically… we departed from the company, it was nothing negative about it,” Akam started out. “It was at a time when COVID had just started, we were in a pretty big storyline at the time. What happened was we couldn’t travel anymore. COVID was very strong, we were asked to do something, like go back, but we opted out of it. We didn’t feel comfortable doing it.
Rezar suffered a bicep injury that has kept him on the shelf ever since. They were a duo with great looks and potential, but it went unrealized for most of their run on the main roster.
5. More update on Klaus
According to Fightful, before WWE settled on the new name of Ludwig Kaiser for Marcel Barthel, they were initially going to choose the name, Ludwig Klaus.
