WWE and AEW Rumor Roundup for May 4, 2022, including WWE releases, Sheamus, Royal Rumble location and more!

These are all the latest rumor roundup in pro-wrestling, which are currently afloat. So let’s have a look at all the rumor roundup from WWE and AEW.

1. WWE releases

WWE has released Malcolm Bivens, Harland, Paige Prinzivalli, Dexter Lumis, Persia Pirotta, Sanjana George, Draco Anthony, Raelyn Divine, Mila Malani, and Dakota Kai heading into the weekend.

Dakota Kai is among the big names on the list. She signed with WWE in 2016. First, she competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic, reaching the semi-finals. Then, she won the NXT Women’s Tag Titles with Raquel Gonzalez. 

Malcolm Bivens is one more big name who has been released. She joined the company in 2019. Recently he has been working with the Diamond Mine stable and serving as the mouthpiece for rising stars like The Creeds and Ivy Nile. It is said that he was asked to sign a new contract in February and declined.

Harland (Parker Boudreaux), and Persia Pirotta (Stephanie De Landre). Harland had been paired with Joe Gacy. Pirotta, on the other hand, was introduced on television right around the time of the 2.0 rebrand and was in a high profile program with Duke Hudson, Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis.

Now According to Ringside News, the WWE releases are being kept quiet, and even creativity hasn’t been let in on them until they happen. 

2. Update on Sheamus

WWE recently conducted a post-Wrestlemania house show in Europe and UK. WWE Superstars posed for a photo as well at the backend of the event.

Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre took to Twitter and posted about the event.

According to PW Insider, Sheamus was not being used on the European tour over the weekend to give Butch more ring time and not related to any kind of injury issue.

3. San Antonio

According to Fightful Select, San Antonio is the front runner for the Royal Rumble 2023 event. Sean Ross Sapp also reported that both Seattle and New Orleans have expressed their interest in hosting the Royal Rumble.

4. Non-title

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the use of “non-title” on Raw this week was a mistake because that’s a banned term in WWE.

5. Match update for Finn Balor

As per Fightful, WWE originally planned Tommaso Ciampa vs Finn Balor for Main Event on this week’s RAW, but then it got changed, and it’s unclear why.
