AEW Beach Break results and grades: This was a special AEW Dynamite episode called Beach Break and it had some big matches on the show.

Kenny Omega, the AEW Champion, was to face rival Jon Moxley but in a six-man tag match. There was another match on AEW Beach Break and that is where we start this results and grades piece.

Tag team madness

A Battle Royal was up first to decide who would face the Young Bucks for the tag team title.

Dark Order had two teams while the Inner Circle had three teams. Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy were also there, as were Top Flight and Private Party.

Surprisingly, The Bucks were also in the mix and if they won, they could choose their rivals for AEW Revolution next month.

There was another surprise as Impact tag champions, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson helped eliminate Isiah Kassidy of the Private Party.

In the end, it was Jericho who got the win after eliminating a Top Flight member, but that came at a cost as he also eliminated Inner Circle member Sammy Guevara.

Jericho and MJF win Battle Royal

Grade B

Matches with so many competitors are always difficult to work but AEW did a great job with this one.

There were a few surprises though and that worked, for the most part. Also, letting Jericho and MJF win the match was the right call given the tensions in the Inner Circle.

Darby Allin and Sting speak up

Tony Schiavone was in the ring as he spoke with Darby Allin and his mentor Sting ahead of their Revolution match.

Allin was told he was going to defend his TNT title against Joey Janela before Revolution, however, Taz and his team came out.

Brian Cage said he wasn’t allowed in the arena after last week’s assault but he would be watching Allin in action next week.

Sting also claimed he would be present to ensure there is no interference and even sent a warning to Ricky Starks.

Grade A

This was the perfect way to hype up their match for Revolution and Sting was incredible too in his final comments to Starks.

It will be interesting to see how Sting does in a street fight and all eyes will be on Revolution.

Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa first chased Reba before attacking Britt Baker. However, Baker was able to turn the tide and used a series of submissions on Rosa.

The pair exchanged several moves as Baker tried to get the Lockjaw in. Rebel also tried to interfere in the match and that allowed Baker to send Rosa to an exposed turnbuckle before getting the Lockjaw for the win.

Baker beats Rosa

Grade B

AEW has been criticised for the way the female matches take place but this was an exceptional outing between the pair.

Of course, Baker and Rosa are excellent performers and this was on show during the match.

Matt Hardy and Hangman Page vs Chaos Theory

Serpentico and Luther were the heels in this match and it was a surprise pairing of Matt Hardy and Hangman Page that took them on.

This was a rather quick match as Hardy and Page won but Page wasn’t all that sure of lifting Hardy’s hand until he was told to do so.

Hardy and Page win

Grade C

This was a rather quick match but the purpose was to show how Hardy could be troubling Page.

Page hasn’t been the same since splitting with Omega and it will be interesting to see what the new Hardy can do for him.

The wedding

Miro was the best man for the wedding as Kip Sabian and Vickie Guerrero made their entrances.

Penelope Ford walked down the aisle with Jerry Lynn and Father James Mitchell was the minister.

Mitchell then asked if there were any objections and Miro stopped that as he brought up some of his wedding takes in the past.

The pair of Sabian and Ford were married before Miro attacked a gift thinking there was someone inside of it.

However, Chuck Taylor tied Miro to a rope and attacked Sabian and Ford. Orange Cassidy joined his friend in the ring and Miro was left angry.

Grade B

This was an OK wedding segment but there was nothing new to it. Mitchell was one of the fun parts and Miro bringing up his older wedding days was certainly fun.

Lance Archer vs Eddie Kingston

A few Lumberjacks surrounded the ring for the match between Eddie Kingston and Lance Archer. Archer was able to take everyone out early in the match before Jake Roberts also attacked a star outside of the ring.

There was more interference from The Butcher and The Blade. However, that wasn’t enough for Kingston as Archer was able to get the win.

Grade C

This was a tough match between the pair but it could have been better. The Lumberjacks were the major problem here but the result was still the right one.

Six-man tag match

Moxley teamed up with PAC and Rey Fenix as he took on Omega and the Good Brothers in a huge tag match.

PAC was the target for the heels early on before Moxley turned the tables via a suicide dive. The heels then took care of Moxley before he was able to tag in Fenix.

PAC and Fenix wiped out the Brothers (Anderson and Gallows) with some high flying moves and they even attacked Omega.

However, that wasn’t enough as the Good Brothers hit the Magic Killer on Fenix for the three count.

Archer then hit the ring and attacked the good brothers before Kenta made a surprise appearance and attacked Moxley to end the show.

Good Brothers and Omega win

Grade A

This was an excellent main event even if the Kenta angle was to be ignored. All six men told a great story but of course, Kenta coming on AEW means there could be a deal with New Japan. These could be great times for AEW and wrestling as a whole with Impact and New Japan on their side.
