AEW is high on its momentum after successfully making its TBS debut last week. The expectations will be much higher this Wednesday as Dynamite goes to PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC.
AEW Dynamite Match Card, Predictions and Preview
Last week, MJF saw his record drop 0-1 in the new year as CM Punk continues to get under his skin to get a singles match with him. Jade Cargill defeated Ruby Soho to become the first-ever TBS Champion. And Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy became the new AEW Tag Team Champions by beating Lucha Bros. Let’s find out the matches for AEW Dynamite this Wednesday.
1.Daniel Garcia vs Sammy Guevara for the Interim TNT Title
At the Battle of Belts, it was supposed to be a rematch for the TNT title between Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, but since Rhodes was not medically cleared to compete, instead of him, Dustin Rhodes battled for the Interim TNT Title.
So until Cody comes back, Guevara will be apparently busy defending the interim title, and his first opponent is Daniel Garcia. Both the superstars have grown a lot over the past 6 months, and they both are aggressive.
Prediction: Guevara will most likely hang on to his newly won Interim TNT Title.
2. Powerhouse Hobbs vs Dante Martin
The issues between Dante Martin and Team Tazz will continue this Wednesday when he goes one-on-one with Powerhouse Hobbs.
Martin will look to capitalize on his quickness and elusiveness, while Hobbs will keep Martin grounded with his size and strength advantage.
The most likely outcome should consist of a back and forth match that sees Martin getting the upper hand throughout the match, but Ricky might interfere, which costs him the game.
Predictions: Powerhouse Hobbs gets the victory.
3. Hikaru Shida vs Serena Deeb
Whenever Shid and Deeb get in the ring together, the match’s outcome is always fantastic. This Wednesday, we will be treated to the fourth instalment of this intense rivalry that started with Deeb beating Shida as Shida went for her 50th win.
If Deeb wins, then it would be a tie-up of their feud at 2-2, which set the stage for the future between them.
Prediction: Sarena Deeb gets the win.
4. CM Punk vs Wardlow
MJF has been putting up obstacles to keep himself out of singles matches with CM Punk, and this week a new barrier comes in the form of Wardlow in what might be the main event of Dynamite.
Wardlow’s first big match coming off will be against an experienced candidate who Punk. AEW might be planning towards a breakout win for Wardlow to be ready for the future main event matches.
We have seen in the past that Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho were able to get past Wardlow to earn their matches with MJF, so it can be said that Punk will get over Wardlow.
Prediction: CM Punk defeats Wardlow.
