AEW Dynamite preview: AEW provided a huge update for a new title on Dynamite, and some brackets have already been made.
That wasn’t it all, some of the stars in that competition are going to face off against each other on this week’s Dynamite.
While last week’s show ended with a meeting between two legends, there is a lot of action coming up on Wednesday.
AEW announced that the inaugural TNT championship series will take place from 8 April. The series has been divided into single-elimination matches with four quarter-finals in place.
The first bracket sees four of the biggest AEW stars go head-to-head. It sees Shawn Spears take on Cody Rhodes.
The other match sees two young guns in Darby Allin facing off against Sammy Guevara. The matches might not take place now, but the quartet will be in action this week.
The other half of the TNT championship might not have been revealed yet but the other four are set to be in action in a huge tag match.
Allin and Rhodes will pair but to face Guevara and Spears. Allin and Guevara have had their own personal feud in recent weeks, while Rhodes might have to worry Lance Archer making a move.
Jake Roberts confirmed that Archer is his new client and Rhodes is his target.
Last week, Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho put on a great promo despite not having any fans in the arena.
Jericho offered Hardy a chance to join the Inner Circle, but the Broken Woken One decided to skip the invitation.
Jericho then hit Hardy before the newly signed star smacked Jericho back, and that led to several stars coming out to battle.
It will be interesting to see if the pair face off again on this week’s show, especially with Hardy aligning himself with The Elite on his debut.
