AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: Cody Rhodes was at it again as he put his TNT Championship on the line this week.
However, Dynamite had some other surprises too. We were to see FTR making their in-ring debut while there was a big six-man tag team match awaiting as well.
However, we start with the debut of FTR on AEW Dynamite and here are the grades and results.
Butcher and Blade put up a great show against Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler, but it were the debutants who got the win.
However, the Young Bucks came out to thank FTR for saving them before a huge brawl broke out.
Adam Page and Kenny Omega also came out with FTR, the Bucks and the Tag champs staring down each other.
FTR beats Butcher and Blade
Grade B
FTR vs The Bucks should be great, however, the pair could also face off against the champs, Page and Omega which should be great.
Kris Statlander teamed up with Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida against Nyla Rose and Penelope Ford.
It was the pairing of Rose and Ford that picked up the win and it was Ford who got the pin.
Ford and Rose beat Shida and Statlander
Grade B
It will be interesting to see who is the next rival for Shida. Ford winning this clash could see her fight the Japanese star but we are yet to see a rematch with Rose.
Best Friends and Orange Cassidy teamed up to face Jake Hager, Ortiz and Santana.
It was a surprise win for Cassidy as he got the pin, but the celebrations didn’t last long. Chris Jericho came out to attack the trio with the rest of the Inner Circle.
Cassidy and Best Friends win
Grade B
AEW seems to be pushing a rivalry between the Best Friends and the Inner Circle. Cassidy has done a great job in recent weeks, and a clash against Jericho seems set, especially after Cassidy was beaten with a bag of oranges.
Sammy Guevara of the Inner Circle was in action against Colt Cabana. After a gruelling match, it was Guevara who got the win but the Dark Order came out after the match.
Brodie Lee offered Cabana a spot in his Order last week, and helped up the defeated star. He then left with the rest of the Dark Order as Cabana followed suit.
Guevara beats Cabana
Grade A
The match might not have been the greatest but we know what to get from Guevara. Cabana teasing joining the Dark Order could be interesting for AEW, and hopefully, we get to see more of him in the coming weeks.
This was the main event for the TNT Championship and it was an incredible clash. Marc Quen was fantastic in the clash but couldn’t get the win in the end.
Cody took advantage of an injured ankle and got Quen to tap out after some close calls.
Cody beats Quen
Grade A
This was an excellent clash but Jake Hager came out and attacked Cody. The Inner Circle came out to help Hager as Dustin Rhodes, Matt Hardy and a host of others also appeared.
Cody accepted a challenge from Hager for the TNT title at Fyter Fest.
Dynamite defeated NXT in the Wednesday Wars by bringing in 677,000 viewers, which was still lower than last week.
NXT, for their part, fell down to 673,000 viewers, which also was a low when compared to the previous week.
