AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: Kenny Omega and AEW made another appearance on Impact this week and the return of the Bullet Club was set.
However, AEW had a lot of their stories to fulfill and here are the results and grades from this week’s Dynamite.
Hangman Page teamed up with Alex Reynolds and John Silver of the Dark Order this week.
The trio took on Matt Hardy and Private Party to start off the show.
Hardy and Party worked well as a trio and got the win in the end.
Hardy and Party beats Silver, Reynolds and Page
Grade B
This was a great way to start off AEW Dynamite and Page being added to the Dark Order makes sense.
Party should also split with Hardy soon.
Brandi Rhodes and Cody Rhodes confirmed they were expecting their first child. The next match saw Cody take on Angelico and it was Cody who got the win in the end.
Taz came out with his team and wanted to beat up Cody. However, Sting made his trademark appearance in the snow as the others looked on in awe.
Cody beats Angelico
Grade B
Sting featuring was the main talking point and the Icon has done a lot even before speaking a word in two of his appearances.
It will be interesting to see what kind of rivalries will be built but Cody and Darby Allin will play a big role in all this.
Eddie Kingston spoke about PAC and also Lance Archer, his so called enemies. Archer then tried to attack Kingston but Butcher and Blade made the save.
There was more madness as Lucha Bros also appeared with PAC that got Kingston surprised.
PAC and Bros attacked Kingston’s team before they argued who should get Kingston next.
Grade B
Kingston was again great on the microphone but it will be interesting to see which of the two other heels gets their hands on him.
This is a fun story line and all the wrestlers are performing extremely well.
Best Friends, Varsity Blondes and Top Flight teamed up to take on Inner Circle for a huge 12-man tag match.
Wardlow and Brandon Cutler were not present for the match but this was a crazy affair. It was Inner Circle that got the but MJF and Chris Jericho were sent flying by Top Flight later on.
Inner Circle wins
Grade C
There is always the fear that too many performers can dilute a match but that wasn’t the issue here,
However, having three different teams clan up to take on the Inner Circle certainly affected the story a bit, especially with Top Flight getting the last say.
Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels (SCU) took on Anthony Bowens and Max Castor (The Acclaimed) in tag action.
It was the Acclaimed who got a hard fought win and they then challenged the Young Bucks for a tag shot.
Acclaimed beat SCU
Grade C
The match certainly could have been better but it is a little weird how Daniels and Kazarian, two of the best workers in AEW, keep on getting the losses.
NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb and Big Swole teamed up to face Diamante and Ivelisse.
It was Swole who got the win thanks to her submission before Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero attacked the winners.
Red Velvet then made the save as she chased the heels out with a steel chair.
Deeb and Swole beat Ivelisse and Diamante
Grade C
AEW keeps having women’s matches with a ton of ads in between. This was the case again and it certainly didn’t help any of the stars involved.
However, Red taking on Rose is a nice direction for AEW to push.
Kenny Omega, the AEW champion, took on Joey Janela in a world title eliminator match.
In a hard fought match, it was Omega who got the win and he even taunted Sonny Kiss after beating Janela.
Don Callis cut a promo and said there was nothing more for Omega to answer but PAC came out and said that Rey Fenix never lost in the earlier title eliminator competition and that Omega would face Fenix on December 30.
Omega beats Janela
Grade B
PAC bringing out the Fenix story line is great and Omega vs Fenix should be a fun match for all.
There was a lot of madness in this match too but Omega looked great despite the table spot.
