AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: AEW continued its ratings war with WWE as it promised a huge show on Dynamite.
There were some huge matches on this week’s and Jon Moxley met his rival, Lance Archer too. However, we start this week’s AEW Dynamite results and grades piece with a great tag match.
Express were waiting in the ring as the show started but the Young Bucks kicked the referee for no reason and then taunted Tony Khan.
FTR made their way down to the ring with Dax Harwood starting off against Jungle Boy. FTR also didn’t want to take on a fired up Luchasaurus at one point but they were still able to get the win.
FTR beats Express
Grade A
The Bucks turning heel should be interesting to see and them going against FTR would be something amazing.
However, the Express put on a great show and went toe to toe with the champions.
Kenny Omega was on commentary duty as he spoke about his partner, Adam Page. Page took on a veteran in Kazarian and the pair put on quite a show.
While Kazarian had chances to win the match it was Page who got the pinfall.
Page beats Kazarian
Grade A
Kazarian and Page have wrestled a lot and they certainly showed off their skills in this match. The comments from Omega certainly also more or less confirms that he is done with Page.
MJF was still salty about losing to Jon Moxley a week or so back and destroyed a jobber in a few seconds. He then took the microphone and wanted to be called the uncrowned AEW champion and called out Moxley.
MJF wins
Grade B
MJF also teased that he might be joining a stable soon, and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
Chris Jericho and Jake Hager continued teaming up as they try to build momentum to win the AEW tag titles.
They took on Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy of Private Party and it were heels who won the match. They kept attacked Kassidy after the natch but Quen made the save.
Jericho and Hager beat Private Party
Grade B
Jericho and Hager look good as a pair, even if this match didn’t seem to click as much as it should have. The attack after the match highlights that the two teams could clash in the future too.
NWA women’s champion Thunder Rosa defended the title against Ivelisse. Both women put on a show as there were sever impressive moves and close falls.
Ivelisse couldn’t get the pinfall as she missed her finisher and that helped Rose to use her’s for the win.
Rose beats Ivelisse
Grade A
Rose is an incredible addition to AEW’s roster and she put on another impressive display. There was little chance of her losing the NWA title on another show but she should battle Hikaru Shida in the future.
Lance Archer and Jake Roberts spoke about taking on the AEW Champion Jon Moxley. Taz interrupted and added that he wanted Brian Cage to get the first shot once Archer wins the title.
Moxley was then attacked by a fan, who turned out to be Ricky Starks. Will Hobbs saved the champion before Moxley added that Darby Allin would team up with the pair for next week’s match against the heels.
Grade C
Hobbs was the surprise man in this match for next week but the rest of the promo wasn’t anything surprising.
It was funny that AEW used a fan to attack Moxley as he was spooked a bit from something similar a while back.
The Best Friends took on Santana and Ortiz in a parking lot brawl match. As expected in such a match, there was a lot of weapons used and fighters were cut open and bleeding.
Orange Cassidy also made an appearance as he hit out at Ortiz and it were the pair of Chuck Taylor and Trent who got the win.
Best Friends beat Ortiz and Santana
Grade A
AEW knows how to set up backstage matches and they di so again. There have been some scary botches in recent weeks but nothing major happened in this match.
The Best Friends looked great as a pair and it will be interesting to see what is next for them.
