AEW Dynamite results and grades: AEW had some grand plans for Brodie Lee Jr as they celebrated his birthday on the show.
There were some other big matches too on a stacked Dynamite. A huge Inner Circle tag match was on the card too and but we start off this AEW Dynamite results and grades piece with a birthday celebration.
No.10 was carrying Lee Jr on his shoulders while Amanda Huber and Lee’s brother were celebrating from the crowd.
The Dark Order started singing for Lee Jr before Serpentico and Luther came out and blasted them for doing so.
TH2 teamed up with the heels to take on the Dark Order but Adam Page also came out to join the party.
While the Dark Order got the win, Lee Jr also hit Serpentico with a stick. He then called everyone idiots since his birthday was three days back.
Page was asked if he was joining the Order but he claimed that his last group didn’t work out too well and then he walked out with some alcohol in his hands.
Dark Order wins
Grade B
The match was fun but the real story was about Hangman not wanting to team up with the Order. Lee Jr did a great job in all this but Hangman’s future in AEW is going to be interesting.
Pretty Peter Avalon took on Cody Rhodes in the next match. This came after what seemed to be an attack by the Bucks on Don Callis.
Cody dominated Avalon before Jade Cargill interrupted and allowed Avalon to hit low blow and turn the tables.
The former TNT Champion then got Avalon to tap out to the figure four.
Cody beats Avalon
Grade C
There was some confusion with Cargill making her appearance in the ring for no reason. However, the match was alright despite the forced ending in the end as Avalon tapped because he didn’t want to get slapped in the face.
Nick Comoroto took on a charged up Jon Moxley in the next match. QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes watched from backstage as Comoroto tried to use his size on Mox.
Mox, however, got the win in the end thanks to a sleeper hold and called out Kenny Omega as he wanted his title back.
Moxley beats Comoroto
Grade B
Comoroto didn’t look bad in the ring but the main story was again about Moxley calling out Omega and even using phrases like “sweet” in his promo.
Marq Quen, Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy teamed up to take on Darius, Dante Martin and Matt Sydal in a huge six-man tag.
All six-men had their moments in the clash but it was the team of Hardy and Private Party that got the win.
Hardy and Private Party win
Grade C
The match was decent enough but it could have been better. There were a few missed spots but it will be interesting to see what is next for Dante and Darius.
Penelope Ford had a lot of company by her side as Chuck Taylor, Kip Sabian and Miro accompanied her.
She took on Leyla Hirsch and Hirsch later on confronted Sabian which allowed Ford to take control.
Sabian then held Hirsch’s leg as Ford got the pin win.
Ford beats Hirsch
Grade B
Hirsch looked great, even in the loss, and it was fun seeing Ford doing well in the ring. There was a side story of Miro and Taylor acting as best buddies with Orange Cassidy also featuring but that didn’t click much.
MJF and Chris Jericho took on Santana and Ortiz and the other team of Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager to decide which tag team would represent the Inner Circle.
The winner would challenge for the AEW tag team titles. There was a lot of craziness in the match and some even brought out weapons.
However, it was MJF who got the win in the end by using the trunks of Guevara.
MJF and Jericho win
Grade B
MJF getting the win is huge as he and Jericho can now go for the titles. MJF also using the trunks of Guevara won’t sit down too well. There is going to be a lot of fall out from this clash and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Inner Circle.
