AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: MJF and Chris Jericho meeting for their steak dinner was the big talking point ahead of this week’s show.
Apart from that, we were to learn about Jon Moxley’s next challenger and the same for FTR as well.
AEW Full Gear is just around the corner, and here are the results and grades from this week’s Dynamite.
Wardlow took on Jungle Boy in an AEW World Championship eliminator match.
While Jungle Boy had the size disadvantage, he used his speed during the match. However, it was Wardlow that got the win in the end.
Wardlow beats Boy
Grade B
This was an expected result as Wardlow is a giant and has been on the verge of a push for a while. Boy did his best but it was never going to be enough.
Sonny Kiss took on Kenny Omega in the next Eliminator but Moxley spoke about Eddie Kingston before the fight.
Omega was to face Joey Janela first but he isolated himself after coming into contact with someone who had Covid.
Omega did his best in the match and got the win before showing some respect to his rival.
Omega beats Kiss
Grade B
A heel Kenny Omega is great for AEW and it is incredible to see how quickly he has become the villain that he is.
A win here was great and it will be interesting to see if he continues this all the way to the top.
Penta took on Rey Fenix in the next eliminator. The Lucha Bros stars faced off against each other in quite a match and it was Fenix who got the better of Penta, just about.
Fenix beats Penta
Grade A
This was a fantastic match and proof that AEW has some of the best performers in the business. The Lucha Bros have been a tag team on AEW for a while but it was great to see them in singles action.
Hangman Page and Colt Cabana was the final AEW title eliminator for the night and this was another bruising affair.
Cabana seemed set for the win but Page pulled out his Buckshot to get the W.
Page beats Cabana
Grade B
This was another decent match though more could have been expected from the two men.
Page getting the win was expected and we could see him take on Omega in the future.
Taz cut a promo alongside Ricky Starks and Brian Cage against Darby Allin and Will Hobbs before we got to the meaty segment.
Jericho and MJF spoke about how their steaks were rare and how MJF could join the Inner Circle before this turned into a musical and the heels then complained about the food too.
Grade A
MJF seems close to joining Inner Circle but they also hinted that this meeting was a dream. Nevertheless, it was a fun segment featuring two of the top heels in the promotion and you can’t go wrong with that.
Dr. Britt Baker took on Kilynn King in singles action and it was the doctor who got the win despite a bright start from her rival.
Baker beats King
Grade C
Baker getting another easy win isn’t new on AEW and it is only a matter of time before she gets another title shot.
The Young Bucks, Alex Reynolds & John Silver, Butcher & Blade and Private Party all clashed for a shot at FTR’s tag team titles.
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood were on commentary duty as they watched their future rivals in action.
It were the Bucks that picked up the win in the end before being attacked by the champions.
Bucks win 4-way match
Grade A
This was another match which highlighted how strong AEW’s tag team division is and the Bucks getting the win is perfect. They are to face FTR now and that should be a cracking match.
