AEW Dynamite results and grades: Dynamite had to shift its regular slot due to the NBA restarting its games.
However, this was a show packed with some amazing matches and rivalries. Cody Rhodes was to defend his TNT title against Brodie Lee but we start off this AEW Dynamite results and grades piece with a tag match.
FTR vs Private Party
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler took on Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy of Private Party.
There were a lot of close calls in this match but Tully Blanchard saved FTR during one point and helped them get the win.
.@CashWheelerFTR will a HEAVY spinebuster onto @Marq_Quen!

FTR beat Private Party
Grade B
Wheeler and Harwood are amazing all the time but Private Party held their own in this clash too. FTR should be in the title scene sooner rather than later, and that will be exciting.
Eight-man tag match
Butcher & Blade and the Lucha Brothers teamed up to face Natural Nightmares and the Jurassic Express.
However, prior to that, MJF cut an excellent promo after Jon Moxley’s attack from last week. MJF was in a neck-brace and claimed that the Paradigm Shift is banned from their title match.
"The paradigm shift isn't a move. IT'S AN ABOMINATION!" – @The_MJF.
To make things worse, MJF has his attorney Mark Sterling speaking for him!Watch #AEWDynamite NOW on @TNTDrama. #AEWonTNT pic.twitter.com/zVB1wFEsTq

All the members of the tag match hit their finisher but the heels had a disagreement and that allowed Jungle Boy of the Express to pick up the win.
.@MadKing1981 came out to calm down both teams…But, has a new faction emerged?

Express and Nightmares defeat Butcher, Blade and Lucha Brothers
Grade B
The match was another example to show how great the tag division is on AEW but all it did was to bring out the heels.
MJF was excellent in his promo too and it will be interesting to see how Moxley deals without using his finisher.
Mimosa Mayhem announced
Orange Cassidy and Best Friends were to cut a promo but Chris Jericho cut him off. Le Champion challenged Cassidy to a Mimosa Mayhem match where the only way to win was to dunk the rival in orange juice and a mixture of other drinks. Inner Circle then beat down Cassidy and his friends.
In pure Inner Circle fashion!

Grade C
While the segment wasn’t all that great, the Mimosa match should be interesting to see.
The Dark Order vs The Elite
Kenny Omega and the Bucks took on three members of the Dark Order as the rivalry between the two teams continued.
While the Elite were able to get the win, Kenny Omega almost took out Alan Angels after the clash. However, the Bucks and Omega calmed down and left without causing more damage.
.@KennyOmegamanX wanted more than just a victory.

Elite beat Dark Order
Grade B
It seems almost certain that Adam Page and Omega will split up and it will be interesting to see who picks up the title after that.
FTR manipulated Page backstage too and a title clash could be coming soon.
Allin vs Hobbs
Darby Allin took on the bigger Will Hobbs and it was the less experienced Hobbs who got the better of Allin early on.

However, it was Allin who got the win via his finisher. Taz then teased that Allin could be in his team but Ricky Starks came out and Brian Cage took Allin out. Starks then hit Allin’s finisher on the beat up star.
Allin beats Hobbs
Grade B
The match was never going to be the talking point from this segment, but it seems that Cage vs Allin will continue for a while.
Starks and Cage seem to be a team now, and that won’t be good news for Allin.
AEW Tag Team Cup final
Thunder Rose made her appearance on AEW and called out champion Hikaru Shida. Sammy Guevara was beaten down by Matt Hardy but he was able to escape.
You asked for it.
You got it.

The next match was the women’s tag team cup final between Brandi Rhodes and Allie taking on Ivelisse and Diamante.
This win means everything to @DiamanteLAX & @RealIvelisse.
For them.
For the people.
For the legacy.Watch #AEWDynamite NOW on @TNTDrama. #AEWonTNT pic.twitter.com/1Vh7zfokI8

QT Marshall tried to help the Nightmare Sisters with a distraction but it was Diamante and Ivelisse who got the win.
Ivelisse and Diamante win Tag Team cup
Grade B
Ivelisse and Diamante were expected to win, and they did. However, the addition of Thunder Rose is an interesting bit and that should strengthen AEW’s women’s division.
TNT title match
Cody took on Lee in the main event of this week’s Dynamite. Lee, surprisingly, dominated Cody and got the win thanks to a Discus Lariat.
Absolute domination on the part of Mr. @ThisBrodieLee! Can @CodyRhodes survive?!

As Cody was taken away in a stretcher, Lee and the Dark Order came out and attacked Arn Anderson and even Brandi.
https://twitter.com/AEWrestling/status/1297330988998111232?s=20
Anna Jay took out Brandi as Lee celebrated his first title on AEW.
Lee beats Cody
Grade B
While Lee getting the win was great for him, the match was extremely one-sided and that didn’t make for great reading since Cody had been fantastic since winning the title.
However, the Dark Order now have something to hold on to and it will be interesting to see how things develop with them.
