AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: Jon Moxley and MJF are to meet at All Out in an incredible match and there was a lot of action on this week’s show.
There was a huge gauntlet match to decide who faces the tag champions at all out, and this is where we start off this week’s AEW Dynamite results and grades piece.
The Young Bucks started this off against the Natural Nightmares and eliminated the Nightmares. The next team to come in were the Best Friends.
It seemed that the Bucks would eliminated the Friends too but Adam Page came out from nowhere to hold Nick Jackson’s legs and that cost the Bucks as they were eliminated.
This was questioned by many and FTR were the next ones to come out and they got the win in the end by defeating the Best Friends.
FTR beat Best Friends
Grade B
Page costing the Bucks is an interesting dynamic as the split with the Elite comes closer. FTR vs Page and Kenny Omega should be great and it will be interesting to see how things develop between the Elite too.
Lance Archer made his AEW return and easily defeated Sean Maluta. Archer was confirmed for the Casino Battle Royal.
Jake Roberts claimed that Archer was the favourite for the Casino match. However, Brian Cage and Taz also came out and Cage had to be separated from Archer as they almost fought.
Archer beats Maluta
Grade B
Archer vs Cage should be an excellent clash and it will be interesting to see when it is made. Darby Allin also continued his rivalry with Ricky Starks and attacked him during this segment.
Moxley and MJF came out for the contract signing with MJF still demanding that Moxley’s Paradigm Shift be banned from their clash.
MJF also brought up Moxley’s wife, Renee Young, into all this. While the contract was signed, and Moxley accepted the banning of the Shift.
While MJF celebrated, Moxley added an extra clause. He must face MJF’s lawyer next week else their title match is off.
Grade B
Moxley getting the better of MJF was fun to see and it will be interesting to see how the match takes place.
There was a huge eight-man tag team match with The Lucha Bros teaming up with Butcher and Blade. They took on Joey Janela, Sonny Kiss, Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison.
Ultimately, it were the heels who picked up the win after some great work between Lucha Bros and their teammates.
Lucha Bros, Butcher and Blade win
Grade C
This was a match to showcase the heels and it did a pretty good job of that. Lucha Bros teaming up with Butcher and Blade might not have seemed great at the start but this seems to be working out.
Brodie Lee came out to celebrate his TNT title win and ended the nights of open challenges.
Anna Jay also joined the Dark Order but QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes came out to try and stop the Dark Order.
However, they were beaten up before Scorpio Sky tried to do the same thing and was destroyed by Lee.
However, Matt Cardona joined the faces and sent the Dark Order packing.
Grade B
Jay joining up the Order and getting a number (99) and a nickname certainly makes her feel like a proper part of the squad.
Cardona and the rest coming out means a big tag match will take place in the future for sure.
Big Swole was up against Britt Baker, Rebel and Penelope Ford in a handicap match. However, she still got the win.
Page was kicked out by the Bucks from the Elite prior to the match while Jay offered Taynara Conti a place in the Dark Order but she wasn’t sure of that, yet.
Swole wins
Grade C
The match wasn’t all that great but it showed that Swole can take on anyone. However, the major talk was about Page being kicked out from the Elite.
That raises a lot of questions while Conti could also have a new future in AEW.
Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy continued their brawl with a table match as the main event.
Hardy went through a table on his own so the match continued. Guevara was busted open but took advantage of a situation to send Hardy through a table and get the win.
Orange Cassidy then attacked Chris Jericho, who was a commentator on AEW, after the match.
Guevara beats Hardy
Grade B
This was a decent enough match as the rivalry between the pair grows. However, the pair are capable of doing so much more.
Cassidy taking on Jericho was fine too but something was missing from the clash.
