AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: One of the big talking points ahead of this AEW Dynamite episode was the 10-man tag match between the Inner Circle and Orange Cassidy, Best Friends and Jurassic Express.
However, there were some other big matches on the card too with Hikaru Shida in action. There was also a TNT title match with Cody Rhodes taking on Warhorse.
We start with the big 10-man match, however, on in this AEW Dynamite results and grades piece:
Chris Jericho led the Inner Circle out as he continued his rivalry with Cassidy. Cassidy and his partners started off on fire before the Circle got control of the match.
Jericho tried to use a baseball bat in this clash but Cassidy stopped that. Matt Hardy interfered in this clash as Luchasaurus pinned Sammy Guevara for the faces.
Best Friends, Jurassic Express and Orange Cassidy win
Grade B
This was a great start to the show with Luchasaurus impressing again. However, all the 10 men involved in this clash were fantastic and it was great seeing Cassidy and Jericho locking horns again.
Cody came out to defend his TNT title against Warhorse. The champion looked overconfident as he feigned moves and even did some push-ups while fighting Warhorse.
However, Warhorse seemed to injure his knee with a move and Cody hit a figure four to pick up the submission win.
Later, Dark Order came out to attack Cody but Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder of WWE) made the save on his debut.
Cody beats Warhorse
Grade B
It was great to see another young star get a chance under Cody. Also, getting to see Cardona on AEW is interesting and hopefully, they do a good job with the former WWE star.
Hangman Page and Kenny Omega took on Stu Grayson and Evil Uno of the Dark Order. Omega and Page put their titles on the line and the Dark Order pair were close to winning the titles too.
However, Omega and Page kept the title but Brodie Lee was not happy with what took place.
He was unhappy with Stu and Grayson and the Order’s members surrounded the ring. However, FTR and the Young Bucks came out to make the save.
Page and Omega beat Stu and Grayson
Grade B
Uno and Grayson looked great in the ring, however, it will be interesting to see how long Page and Omega remain as champions.
There are tensions between them and with FTR and Young Bucks in the picture, they could lose their titles.
Shida was in action against Diamante. Both women put on a show with some hard shots at each other.
Shida, however, got frustrated with her inability to take her opponent down. The AEW Women’s champion still got the win with a running knee.
Shida beats Diamante
Grade C
Shida is one of the best in the business but this match just felt a little short to what else she could have done.
There is no one to face her now with AEW thinking of a women’s tag team cup. That teamed Nyla Rose with Ariane Andrew (formerly Cameron of WWE).
Wardlow and MJF came out to the ring and speak about the current situation in pro wrestling.
MJF took a huge shot at AEW and claimed that it has become a dictatorship in recent months with only a few stars at the top.
He also took a shot at Jon Moxley and ripped him to shreds. MJF also wanted AEW to become better and challenged Moxley for the title.
Grade B
MJF on the microphone is always great and this was no different. He is right in suggesting that old stars are staying on top of AEW and he could change that if he gets the title from Mox.
Moxley and Darby Allin took on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a tag match. This was a Tornado tag match as the main event of the night and Allin took out his opponents before the match started.
The heels took control later on but Moxley made the comeback for his team. Allin introduced his skateboard with thumbtacks and that was used on Starks.
Moxley and Allin got the win, in the end, but that turned to a stare-down as the pair were told they would meet for a title match next week.
Moxley and Allin beat Starks and Cage
Grade B
This was another great match, even though the extra blood and brutality wasn’t needed. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how Moxley vs Allin goes as this is a rivalry that has to be brought out again.
