AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: Nyla Rose was one of the big stars in action on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
Rose lost the women’s title to Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing and the Beast would have been looking for some revenge.
Two titles were also on the line on this week’s show as Cody Rhodes defended his TNT championship. There was also a segment featuring FTR after they made an appearance last week, and here are the results and grades from AEW Dynamite.
The AEW tag titles were on the line as Adam Page and Kenny Omega defended them against Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc.
FTR and the Best Friends were watching from the stands as Page and Omega picked up an impressive win.
Page and Omega beat Sabian and Havoc
Grade A
The quartet looked great and this was a great way to start Dynamite. Page and Omega look great as a tag team and it will be interesting to see what FTR brings to the division, apart from their experience too.
Brian Cage faces Jon Moxley for the AEW title at Fyter Fest, but he was in action against Shawn Dean next.
Cage easily defeated Dean but Taz was upset at Moxley taunting Cage. Moxley came on the microphone again and took a shot at Cage which left Taz fuming.
Cage beats Dean
Grade B
The former Impact star looks incredible and indestructible at the moment. He should be a proper challenge for Moxley, and it will be interesting to see how this clash goes.
Chris Jericho took on Colt Cabana as the pair put on a great clash. It was Jericho who ended up getting the win after hitting the Judas Effect.
Jericho then called out Mike Tyson after last week’s brawl, however, Orange Cassidy came out and put his hand on Jericho’s belt.
Jake Hager and Jericho try to attack him, but Cassidy evades them and joins the Best Friends.
Jericho beats Cabana
Grade B
Cabana and Jericho put on a great clash and it was interesting that Cassidy seems interested in fighting Le Champion now. The pair should be incredible, but Jericho vs Tyson should also be great.
Rose took on Big Swole, who was also making her return after a while. However, it was Rose that picked up a hard-fought win over Swole.
Britt Baker came out to cut Swole’s promo but Swole didn’t waste time on all this and chased her away.
Rose beats Swole
Grade B
Swole vs Baker could be a great match for the future but Rose returning to AEW with a win should see her rise to the top of the rankings for Shida’s title too.
FTR were interviewed by Tony Schiavone but the Butcher and Blade interrupted and a match was setup.
Cody Rhodes next defended his title against Jungle Boy and it was the American Nightmare who got the win, despite being bloodied by Jungle Boy.
Cody beats Jungle Boy
Grade B
This was a great match between the two, and Jungle Boy took Cody to his limits. Cody defending his title every week will be cool, and hopefully, we see more such matches.
