AEW Dynamite Results and Grades: AEW was gearing up for Full Gear and wanted to wrap up a few storylines before the big show.
Eddie Kingston was going to meet up with Jon Moxley ahead of their AEW title clash but we start off with a huge match for MJF in this AEW Dynamite results and grades piece.
Ortiz and Sammy Guevara took on MJF and Wardlow in a tag team match. Chris Jericho was on the commentary desk as he watched his Full Gear rival, MJF in action.
Matt Hardy attacked Guevara during the match which allowed MJF and Wardlow to win. MJF then attacked Jericho after the match.
MJF and Wardlow beat Guevara and Ortiz
Grade B
MJF defeating the Inner Circle members makes sense as he takes on Jericho for a place in the Circle.
The match was great too with Guevara and Ortiz doing extremely well and Hardy also setting up his match with Guevara for Full Gear.
Kenny Omega participated in an interview before Miro took on Trent in the next match of Dynamite.
There was a bit of chaos during the match as Orange Cassidy was attacked by the Dark Order.
However, Miro got the win in the end and wouldn’t let go of Trent as Taylor tried to take him off. Kip Sabian also attacked the Best Friends before Cassidy came out to destroy Miro and Sabian.
Miro beats Trent
Grade B
Miro is still being pushed and it is interesting to see him turning heel again. He seems to be having fun and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.
Adam Page also was interviewed before The Young Bucks took on The Private Party. However, Taz, Ricky Starks and Brian Cage had something to say as they weren’t to feature at Full Gear.
The Bucks and Party put on quite a show and it were the Bucks that got the win. However, FTR, the AEW Tag champions, attacked the Bucks but Page made the save for the Bucks.
Omega and Page then had a staring contest ahead of their No.1 contender’s clash for the AEW title.
Bucks beat Party
Grade A
Young Bucks know how to put on quite a show and the story telling was perfect from all angles. Hardy and Guevara fought again while FTR showed off that they aren’t taking the Bucks lightly ahead of their clash.
Moxley and Kingston met in the ring with several barbs thrown at each other. They were not allowed to attack each other as the match would have been cancelled, and it was quite a show.
A promo for PAC was also shown off as the British star seems set to make his return to AEW.
Grade B
Kingston has been the standout performer on AEW for a month and he was excellent on the microphone again.
It was great seeing PAC getting some time and it will be interesting to see who he aligns with once he is back.
Hikaru Shida was watching as her rival, Nyla Rose, took on Red Velvet.
Rose got an easy win in the end before a scuffle broke out after Vickie Guerrero made some comments.
Rose beats Velvet
Grade C
AEW doesn’t seem to give its women a lot of time to perform and this was another example. Rose is dominant and destructive, we know all this, and it didn’t actually add anything to her feud with Shida.
John Silver, 10 and Colt Cabana of the Dark Order took on Cody Rhodes and the Gunn Club in the main event.
It were the faces that got the win after a good match before the other Dark Order members surrounded the ring.
Cassidy reappeared to take out Silver. Cody then cut a promo claiming that Allin is a top star but he won’t the TNT title from him at Full Gear.
Cody and Gunn Club beat Dark Order
Grade C
Making this the main event was a bit of a question mark and it showed in the end as others had to enter the segment to make it bigger.
Cody vs Allin should be great but the build-up to it hasn’t been the best.
