Former WWE Superstar and AEW wrestler Cody Rhodes and Brandi welcome first daughter
Brandi and Cody Rhodes welcomed their first baby together, Liberty Iris Runnels on June 18. The AEW stars, who got married in September 2013, welcomed their baby girl in Atlanta.
The couple in a statement said: (h/t PEOPLE)
“Just like a Rhodes … she’s early never late! Liberty Iris came right on time. We are so in love with this tiny angel we can hardly describe it. Grateful is an understatement.”
Brandi Rhodes had earlier spoken in December about giving birth to her first child saying:
“Cody and I are so excited and overwhelmed by this news. We’ve had seven exciting years of marriage, worked together to grow our careers and our core at AEW from the ground up and now here we are embarking on another incredible chapter.”
The couple work together after working in WWE and are now shooting the unscripted series Rhodes To The Top. Rhodes is also the executive-vice president of the company and works as a wrestler under owner Tony Khan.

Cody Rhodes is the son of WWE legend Dusty Rhodes and worked with the company till 2016. After joining AEW in 2018, Cody signed five-year contracts with the promotion keeping him as one of the mainstays in the roster as well.
At Double or Nothing last year, Cody defeated Archer to become the inaugural TNT Champion. He has also been part of feuds with legendary NBA player Shaquille O’ Neal. He is still in the prime of his career and looking to take AEW to new heights. Kenny Omega is the current AEW champion and is the hottest property in the business.
Rhodes’ experience as an executive and on-air talent makes him one of the diversified personalities in the company. His brother Dustin Rhodes faced him in the first ever match in AEW’s history in 2019.
