AEW ratings are better than WWE yet again
AEW seem to be having all the momentum in the wrestling world right now. As per Wrestleomics the viewership of the 15th September AEW Dynamite crossed a total of 1,175,000 viewers. With 574,000 viewers being of the targeted demographic that is 18-49.
This gave AEW a rating of .44 this week which was better than that of WWE’s Monday Night Raw which got .43 rating. Raw got 556,000 viewers in the same demographic which was 18,000 less than AEW. This is the second week straight in which AEW has had a better rating than WWE.
Last week AEW All out had 681.000 viewers and WWE had 678,000 viewers in the targeted demographic of 18-49. Making it one of two week’s in a row for AEW to be ahead of WWE,
What is the reason behind AEW’s latest success?
AEW seemed to have shifted the limelight from WWE onto themselves. This is because of many reasons. Many fans and critics believe that AEW has much better storylines than WWE.
A big part of this shift can also be that some major Ex-WWE stars have joined forces with AEW. With stars like Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose and Sting who already have been the part of AEW for some time now, recent inclusion of CM Punk was one of the most talked about things across the world. Punk returned to wrestling seven years after he had left WWE.
With the likes of Daniel Bryan, Adam Cole and probably Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt in the near future joining AEW the fans of these superstars have shifted their loyalties to AEW.
