The live edition of AEW Dynamite this Wednesday saw the viewership and key demo ratings drop to the lowest numbers since early March
The total number of viewers on TBS for the live edition of AEW Dynamite was 977,000 according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily. This is a drop of 1.21% from last week’s episode which was viewed by 989,000 fans.
The rating for this week was 0.37 in the 18-49 key demographic. Last week’s rating was 0.38. Therefore, this week saw a drop of 2.63% from last week’s rating. The 0.37 rating for this week represents 486,000 viewers whereas last week the number in the same 18-49 key demographic was 496,000. This is a significant drop of 2.01% from last week as per Wrestlenomics.
This week’s episode of Dynamite ranked #3 on the Cable Top 150 this week which is down by one rank from last week’s standings. Dynamite ranked #33 in viewership for the night cable this week and this is a drop by two places from last week’s position.
Wednesday’s Dynamite attracted the lowest total audience since the post-Revolution episode on March 9, and the lowest key demo rating since March 2, which was the Revolution go-home show.
This week’s Dynamite viewership was down 19.85% from the same week in 2021. The key demo rating was down 15.90% from the previous year. The 2021 episode was the first following the move to Tuesdays for WWE NXT.
Many top superstars of AEW, like Sting, Darby Allin, the Hardys, and Blackpool Combat Club didn’t feature in the episode. However, the likes of Chris Jericho, Keith Lee, Samoa Joe, and CM Punk did have matches on the night. Marina Shafir and Satnam Singh were the ones who showed up for the first time in an AEW ring.
