Aiden English was recently released by WWE due to cost-cutting measures
Former WWE star Aiden English has spoken about possibly joining Brodie Lee’s Dark Order and turning them into a comic stable.
Lee was also released by WWE before they made a lot of cuts on the roster. However, the former Wyatt Family member has become one of the top stars in the promotion.
He is the leader of the Dark Order and recently fought Jon Moxley for the AEW World title. Lee lost the clash as he passed out after a chokehold from the champion, and one fan suggested that the Exalted One could get the W if English joined.
English was also released by WWE due to the cost-cutting and claimed he would make the Dark Order into something else:
“Knowing the 2 of us…I feel like @ThisBrodieLee and I would turn The Dark Order into some Lethal Weapon-sequel buddy comedy…whether that’s good or bad is up to you folks”
English did have a decent run as a tag star before joining up with Rusev. However, the Bulgarian Brute was also released by WWE as they cut down on the roster.
English did a lot of great work outside the ring too as a commentator and has a great singing voice too.
A lot of former WWE stars have joined AEW and have had great success. Moxley and Lee are two examples of stars going right to the top.
Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Shawn Spears and Lance Archer are others who have done well since joining the promotion.
English might not ever be the top star at the start, but AEW has shown how to use talent effectively. They don’t have three brands like WWE but are still able to keep their stars relevant and happy with some fun and intriguing rivalries.
