AEW phenomenon Brodie Lee Jr celebrated his 9th birthday this week
Brodie Lee Jr, the son of recently deceased WWE and AEW star Jon Huber (AKA Brodie Lee), turned 9 years old on Sunday.
It would not have been an easy start to 2021 for the youngster. His father passed away on December 26th due to lung complications. Since then, the wrestling community has flooded Huber’s family with support.
AEW in particular have taken tangible steps to make -1 an integral part of the promotion and carry on his father’s legacy.
The promotion offered him a professional contract which and let Brodie Lee Jr play a major role in the special episode which the promotion dedicated to the life of his late father.
His mother put out a heart-warming and emotional message for her son this weekend on his birthday. She mentioned in the Instagram post how he made her world a brighter and better place, and how lucky she is to have him in her life.
The 9-year-old got a ton of birthday wishes this weekend. Amongst the well-wishers were some popular wrestling stars.
WWE stars like Bayley, Seth Rollins, Natalya, and Renee Paquette all congratulated -1 by commenting under Huber’s Instagram post.
AEW star Cody Rhodes also wished the little man on his special day. He even tipped him to be a future AEW Hall of Famer. However, for that to happen, the promotion would need to introduce that concept first.
As expected, AEW themselves wished him on Twitter with a special graphic design where he is holding the TNT belt.
And, MJF kept his rivalry alive with Lee Jr as he posted just an ‘eyes rolled up’ emoji on a post wishing -1 on his birthday.
