Thea Trinidad (FKA Zelina Vega) partnered Andrade El Idolo during their WWE days and that could now happen in AEW too
Former NXT Champion Andrade El Idolo seems keen on adding to his stable after making a shock appearance on AEW.
El Idolo joined WWE’s rivals after being cut from his former promotion, which surprised many. Andrade wasn’t the only one cut as other big names such as Aleister Black and Braun Strowman were also released.
A wide range of reasons have been provided for these cuts, but this has opened the doors for AEW to swoop.
Strowman is being linked with a move to AEW but Andrade also spoke of another ex-colleague and how he wanted her to join AEW.
Andrade was always with Zelina Vega during their time in WWE. Vega was also released by WWE and she now goes by the name of Thea Trinidad.
Trinidad is a huge cosplayer and streamer, and also the wife of Black. She was linked with a return to WWE after her release, but Andrade told Lucha Libre Online (h/t Fightful) that he wanted Vega on AEW:
“I would love it if she was with me. I cannot speak about it that extendedly due to multiple stuff going on, but I would love it if she joined soon or in a close future.”
Andrade was going to make a huge announcement on Dynamite recently before he was cut off. That could have been the Vega announcement but she seems to be busy with some projects and AEW might have kept this reveal hidden from the fans for a little while longer.
It would be incredible to have Vega team up with Andrade on AEW as the pair were great during their WWE days.
Having another Latin star would also help Andrade’s stable as he also has Vickie Guerrero by his side.
Vega was doing a great job as a heel before WWE cut her, and it will be interesting to see if she does make the switch to AEW.
