The wrestling world was in mourning as AEW star Brodie Lee passed away due to a lung issue. The former WWE star, who wrestled under the Luke Harper name for the promotion, picked up the TNT title after joining AEW in 2020.

He became the leader of the Dark Order and was called The Exalted One. Lee had some great matches on AEW but wasn’t seen on TV for a couple of months.

Lee’s wife also posted the news of his passing away and added that this was not related to Covid-19 but due to a lung issue he had in the past.

She thanked AEW for all that they had done for the family and was broken to lose her husband. AEW also posted a message online and many WWE and AEW stars could not believe what had happened.

One of the best people ever

While Harper played the role of a heel during his WWE and AEW run, most wrestlers could only say positive things for the 41-year-old.

Lee is the father of two children and many claimed that he was one of the best to take care of his family. The 41-year-old was also great in the ring, despite his size, and often saved his opponents from serious injuries, something that Mustafa Ali brought up.

Ali also brought up how everyone seemed to love Lee and that was testament to his nature
