The AEW debut of Brian Kendrick has been nixed after a series of controversial comments made by him started circulating on social media. His match was cancelled over an hour before the show – which was against Jon Moxley at Dynamite.

Kendrick has discussed several conspiracy theories involving the Illuminati, Jews and Zionists. He has also previously made comments regarding conspiracies surrounding 9/11, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and controversial views on the Holocaust.

After all this controversy, Brian took to Twitter, apologised to all the fans for all these words and comments, and mentioned that “he crossed the line.”

“I apologize for all the hurt and embarrassment I have caused with my words. These are not my beliefs and never were beliefs of mine, and I crossed the line.”

AEW President Tony Khan said that there is no place for someone who has this kind of view in AEW.

Brian Kendrick last wrestled on October 30 for WWE

It was reported earlier that in late January, Kendrick requested his release from WWE officials, and he has not been in any of the WWE TV tapings for his NXT/205 live producer/coach etc.

He was scheduled to face Harland on December 28 NXT, but that match never occurred and was erased due to COVID-19 measures.

Brian Kendrick last wrestled in WWE on the October 30 episode of 205 Live, teaming with Mansoor to defeat Ever Rise. In mid-December, he was featured on NXT 2.0 in a segment with Harland, which saw that the monster threw Kendrick down.

It was earlier reported by PWInsider that Kendrick had been waiting “at least six weeks” for his release, and he hadn’t been in attendance at any NXT tapings as well.
