Brodie Lee shirts sell out before the end of AEW Dynamite episode
Pro Wrestling Tees confirms on Twitter that Brodie Lee shirts have sold at a record speed, beating any previous record for shirt sales by a huge margin.
In early December, Sting returned to TNT after 18 years as he signed a contract with AEW. His entrance broke the internet and led to a record number of shirt sales by Pro Wrestling Tees within a span of 24 hours.
And now, Brodie Lee shirts have beaten that record with more than 22 hours to spare. His shirts were sold out within two hours, before this week’s AEW Dynamite even finished airing.
There is no one to profit from this apart from Brodie Lee’s family, as all proceeds from the shirt sales will go to his wife Amanda Huber, and sons Nolan & Brodie Lee Jr.
The shirts feature an image of the late Jon Huber (AKA Brodie Lee) with the words “Exalted in Heaven” written just under the image.
In all honesty, the news of his merchandise selling out so quick is not a surprise. The 41-year-old wrestler passed away on 26th December due to a non-Covid related issue in his lungs.
Ever since his passing, the wrestling community has come together to honour his legacy and support his family.
It is understandable that fans want to help out his family by buying the shirts and want the merchandise as something to remember the great wrestler by.
This week, AEW aired a special episode in honour of Brodie Lee which featured match cards that reflected the legacy of ‘The Exalted One’. This followed from AEW signing Lee’s 8-year-old to a contract with the promotion.
