Bronson Reed might also be headed to the AEW, after being released by the WWE recently
On the 6th of August, 2021, Bronson Reed was released by the WWE after he failed to impress the boss Vince McMahon in a possible promotion to the main roster.
The massive Samoan-Australian who was a part of the black and gold brand might be headed to AEW, given the number of WWE prospects and stars they have already been signing.
Elsewhere, CM Punk made his much-awaited AEW debut on the 20th of August at AEW Rampage: The First Dance in the United Center, Chicago, Illinois.
Punk received a massive cheer from the crowd as he stepped into the ring and laid out his future plans.
Following Punk’s AEW debut, Reed took to Twitter to express his desire to face ‘The Best in The World.’ He also acknowledged the fact that Punk shaped his teenage years alongside Samoa Joe.
Here is what Reed had to say:
“Well … that resonated with me deeply. I feel those words now more than ever. I don’t know what will happen with me but I need to be in the ring with .@CMPunk He shaped my teenage years alongside Joe and we had the match below robbed from us. Kudos .@AEW#AEWRampage”
Just a few days after his release, Reed had already called out another AEW star – Miro.
Taking to Twitter, Reed posted an interesting call out which when deciphered, read: “Give Me Miro.”
CM Punk takes to Twitter with just two words following AEW debut
Following his debut, CM Punk took to Twitter to share a photo of the AEW statement highlighting his release.
‘The Cookie Master’ had just two words to say when asked about his future career plans.
“I’m back.”
Punk is expected to stick around with the AEW for quite a long time.
