Bryan Danielson is set to face Minoru Suzuki on this week’s Rampage
AEW recently announced that Bryan Danielson will be facing Minoru Suzuki at the upcoming AEW Rampage. Danielson reacted to the news on Twitter and this is what he had to say:
“In 2004, I wrestled Minoru Suzuki 1 on 1. He beat the sh*t out of me. Showed me what violence and sadism inside a wrestling ring looks like. Since then, I’ve learned a thing or two about violence myself. And sadism. Excited to show Mr. Suzuki what I’ve learned”
Danielson talks about how he fought Suzuki 17 years ago and was beaten by him. He mentions he saw what violence looked like in the ring and also commented on learning a thing or two about violence himself. Danielson has subtly also spoken on how he’ll intend on showing the same to Suzuki come Rampage.
It is a really interesting match up for Danielson and will certainly be a good opportunity to get him his first victory in AEW.
How has Bryan Danielson’s AEW journey looked so far?
Danielson made his surprise debut in AEW at the All Out PPV. The move was anticipated after it was clear that he won’t renew his contract with the WWE. On his debut he also confronted Kenny Omega and a new rivalry was kicked off.
After a while AEW made the match between omega and Danielson official for the AEW Grand Slam event. The match was a treat to watch for the fans, but ended in a draw after the 30-min mark was exceeded.
Danielson is set for his second match in AEW this week and will also look to get his first victory at Rampage this week over Suzuki.
