Chris Jericho punched a fan on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite
New details emerge after it was seen that a fan tried to enter the ring as Chris Jericho is back on AEW Dynamite this week.
According to Mike Johnson of PW Insider, it seems that it was a one time-occurence which could be prevented through tighter security measures, and this was not some angle being worked by AEW:
“We are told it was not and AEW needs to make sure nothing of that sort ever, ever happens again.
“If that was the venue’s fault, AEW needs to address it with all future buildings so no whatever lapse took place last night is never repeated. If it was AEW’s fault, they need to make sure they correct whatever mistake was made.”
Johnson added that the situation could have gone wrong but everyone seemed to be OK. He also defended Jericho’s actions and claimed that fans should always stay behind the guard rail.
It seems that the crowd in Miami loved the action as MJF and Jericho clashed inside the ring. Jericho is a legend in the eyes of most wrestling fans, despite his heel character.
Jericho accepted the challenge of MJF as he put forth a few stipulations to get a shot at him one more time. Over the last few months, the two have had an intense rivalry which looks close to its breaking point.
The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle
The two factions have been bitter rivals over the last few months in AEW. Chris Jericho and MJF have had a long history including making a musical video together, but now our looking to fight each other. The Pinnacle beat the Inner Circle’s Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz in a huge six-man tag match.
It seems that Jericho will go all out on MJF, when the two get inside a ring for a fight.
If Jericho wins these four contests, he will earn another bout with MJF. MJF compared the stipulations to the “Labors of Hercules.” Jericho accepted the terms and delivered a Judas Effect.
