Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts made a surprise appearance on AEW Dynamite which got Randy Orton worked up

AEW got many eyeballs going when Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts made an appearance on Dynamite.

The WWE Hall of Fame star threatened Cody Rhodes with his client and suggested that the dark side would take over.

Roberts is the latest star to have joined the AEW bandwagon, and this didn’t sit well with a current WWE star.

Randy Orton has been extremely vocal about his dislike for AEW and has taken shots at Tony Khan in the past too.

The Viper got his chance to hit out at Jake Roberts with a GIF of him giving the legend an RKO.

This was done from years ago as Orton didn’t look like the menacing star he is now, but Jericho took offence to this.

The former AEW champion lost the title to Jon Moxley at Revolution 2020 but made a joke about what he was wearing.

Jericho also highlighted that Orton must have seen AEW to pull out the RKO clip and thanked the Viper too.

AEW taking the fight to WWE

Ever since AEW got into the weekly TV business, eyes have been on the ratings. Dynamite doesn’t take on Raw or SmackDown but only NXT and they have been getting the better numbers in recent weeks.

AEW also has several ex-WWE stars on their roster and it has been slowly growing across the world.

WWE is still the leader but its product isn’t as fresh as it used to be. AEW also have reported problems with attendance figures in the past too.

Jericho might have won this battle, but Orton will not take things lying down.
